Las actividades del Programa de Educación Abierta de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociología van dirigidas a los y las estudiantes de los grados que se cursan en dicha facultad.

Introducción

The seminar focuses on improving both, the form and substance of academic writing and presentations, ensuring clarity, logical organization, and critical engagement with ideas. Students will practise different types of formal and academic writings, speaking and assess the level of difficulty of sample and individual written passages based on readability criteria.

Unidades de competencia

  • Ability to employ formal and academic expressions in written passages and presentations – comparative exercises, usage of synonyms
  • Develop essay and letter writings while employing grammatical and logical links – linking words
  • Compose presentation in the formal English language
  • Measure the difficulty of sampled and developed written texts while employing readability tools

Método de evaluación

  • 40% of the mark is devoted to active participation and taking part in discussions
  • 60% of the mark is devoted to the student’s autonomous work
