Itinerario transversal\nLas actividades del Programa de Educación Abierta de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociología van dirigidas a los y las estudiantes de los grados que se cursan en dicha facultad. \nFecha\nViernes 12 de diciembre de 10:00-13:00 y de 16:00-19:00 \nLugar celebración\nFacultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociología\,\nc/ Rector López Argueta s/n\, Granada\,\nAula por confirmar \nDirección y coordinación\nJosé Manuel Jiménez Cabello\n(Vicedecano de Calidad\, Transferencia y Educación Abierta) \nDuración\n10 horas (6 presenciales\, 4 de trabajo autónomo) \nIntroducción\nThe seminar focuses on improving both\, the form and substance of academic writing and presentations\, ensuring clarity\, logical organization\, and critical engagement with ideas. Students will practise different types of formal and academic writings\, speaking and assess the level of difficulty of sample and individual written passages based on readability criteria.  \nCompetencias del alumnado\nEl alumnado sabrá/comprenderá \n\nTo express ideas accurately\, logically\, and persuasively in academic and formal contexts\n\nEl alumnado será capaz de: \n\nApply formal and academic language expressions in study and professional fields\nOrganize ideas and content logically\nTo impart ideas and results through written and oral Academic English\n\nUnidades de competencia \n\nAbility to employ formal and academic expressions in written passages and presentations – comparative exercises\, usage of synonyms \nDevelop essay and letter writings while employing grammatical and logical links – linking words\nCompose presentation in the formal English language\nMeasure the difficulty of sampled and developed written texts while employing readability tools\n\nMétodo de evaluación\n\n40% of the mark is devoted to active participation and taking part in discussions \n60% of the mark is devoted to the student’s autonomous work
